Description. Winter Scenes, make your scene in fabric guided by Kate, and there will be lots of time for personal tuition and very personal outcomes. Kate will show examples and give suggestions for the sort of winter scenes that could be achieved, but students are encouraged to bring images that inspire them too.

Payment
Winter Scenes fee is £160. You should pay a deposit of £80 to secure your place. On receipt of the deposit you will receive a confirmation email. The balance of £80 should be paid two weeks before thebeginning of the class.
Information
Winter Scenes, made using prebonded fabric which is cut and collaged, before ironing and free motion stitching. Kate will demonstrate how to combine layers of fabric, tulle and “confetti” too to create clever landscape effects.

Resources
Sewing machine with embroidery foot set up for free motion stitching. Some knowledge of this will enhance your experience of the workshop.
sharp scissors large and small.
A variety of threads for stitching – generally white, black, greys, blues and browns are good for winter scenes.
Some fabrics – batik style fabric, hand-dyed fabrics, or small textures/patterns work well for this type of landscape inspired work.
Materials Fee £6.00 per student..Kate will provide bondaweb, tulle, backing felt, wonderweb and a variety of organza type fabrics as well as bringing a box of fabric pieces. Also some printed robins!
