Description
Textile Workshop is a year long course delivered over 10 monthly sessions. You will complete three projects, each one taking three sessions. Firstly there will be the initial challenge, secondly a design session, and thirdly, working to a final piece. The Christmas session will be a one off challenge.
Textile workshop is designed for prospective students wishing to be stretched, mentored, and practised at developing ideas.

Payment
Textile Workshop fee is £500. You should pay in 3 instalments, firstly £200 as a deposit before the course starts and will secure your place, secondly £200 paid before the February session, and thirdly the final payment of £100 to be paid before the May session
Information
You will work on a different project each term, the first session will be a taught challenge, maybe a set up in the studio, or maybe going out into the village, recording through observation, sketching, photographing etc . Then Susan will mentor the second session typically dedicated to development from the initial challenge, maybe through print, drawing exercises, or preparing fabrics,papers etc. Finally In the third session you will move into your chosen media to work on a final piece.
Resources
The studio is well stocked with resources, and you will be advised to bring any further items at each stage if required.
You should bring your own lunch as there is no shop in the village, but tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day
For the first session, you should bring a notebook and a camera for recording your observations.
