Printing with Natural Dyes. Caroline Bell is the tutor for this course. For more information about Caroline, please visit her website www.carolinebelltextiles.co.uk
Printing with Natural Dyes focusses on how to transfer imagery and pattern onto fabric using thickened natural dye extracts as a medium using a variety of techniques including screens, gelliplates, stencils and print blocks. Learn how to prepare your fabric for printing, how to mix the dyes and the print medium, the print medium options and how to harness the unique characteristics of natural dyes to vary shade and hue of colour. Hopefully everyone will go away with a range of samples and possibly some larger pieces for a new product
