Machine Embroidery inspired by Antoni Gaudi Create a unique design inspired by the architectural wonders of the Spanish Architect and Designer, Antoni Gaudi. His use of mosaics and quirky shapes inspired by nature offer a wide range of inspiration. You will be layering fabrics, creating surface texture, and then work into them with freehand machine stitching. Painting and stenciling will be used to create mosaic effects.

Payment
Fee is £200. You should pay the deposit of £100 to secure your place. On receipt of the deposit you will receive a confirmation email. The balance should be paid two weeks before the start of the course
Requirements
Sewing machine with darning foot, Extension table (if you have one)
Fabrics – Selection of plain, un-dyed, natural fabrics, e.g. cotton, calico,
muslin, scrim, linen, silk, ideally varying in textureand tone.
These should be pre-washed to remove the dressing
Fabric Stabiliser – Stitch ‘n Tear or sew-in Vilene
Threads – White cotton machine thread, coloured machine threads-
rayon, polyester etc.
Scissors, Pins / machine needles (90/14)
Pencil / Paper / Tracing paper / Masking Tape / Glue Stick
Coloured papers for design – tissue paper, sugar paper, magazine clippings
Overall / shirt for painting
Materials Fee £5.00 for use of fabric paints
Further Information Please bring your own lunch as there is no shop in the village, but tea, coffee and biscuits are provided throughout the day.
