Masterclass in Ecoprinting
This workshop focuses on how to achieve that perfect print in tandem with the use of colour by way of tannins and natural dyes. Using a variety of mordant “recipes” and working with cotton fabric we will explore the ways in which different leaves with different properties can be combined in the ecoprinting process to generate a series of beautiful cloths. This class is suitable for anyone who has taken my spring or autumn classes or anyone that has some experience and understands the basics
Requirements
Approximately 2 metres of medium weight cotton fabric prepared for dyeing or scoured. Even better an old white cotton sheet.
Approximately 1 metre cotton canvas ready for dyeing or scoured
Gloves and apron
Scissors
Notebook and pen
Labels for your work
There will be a £5 materials charge to cover dyes, sundries and other materials
