Autumn eco printing is a two day class. Students will learn the basics of Eco Printing using plants and leaves of the season to produce a series of samples. A broad spectrum of colours will be achieved with a variety of prints.. Tuition will be given as to the plants which will produce the most successful results for the season, and the correct use of mordants and methods of modifying those colours to achieve a whole rainbow of samples thus debunking the myth that eco printing produces only muddy or insipid results which do not last..Students will learn Caroline’s methods , mainly boiling fabric bundles , to create some fabulous results.

Each day runs from 10-4 and tea, coffee, and biscuits are available throughout Payment£130 , a non-refundable deposit of half the fee , £65 will secure your place, on receipt of the deposit your place will be confirmed. The balance should be paid two weeks before the start of the class. Requirements for Eco Printing class Protective clothing gloves etc A ball of string Scissors A small selection of papers from khadi, water colour paper cartridge, 1 metre of a medium weight close woven silk We will be starting with silk as this prints best but some of the bundles can be done in cotton so you can bring some if you wish – something like cotton sheeting A basic sewing kit Notebook and pen Don’t forget your lunch! N.B.
