This is a hand stitching day, you will learn to layer fabrics together and use the tradition of Kantha stitching to hold them together

Class fees: £50 for the day to include most materials

Student requirements:  There is a wide selection of fabrics to use, if, as a beginner you have not yet developed a ‘stash’, there are also rotary cutters, quilters rulers and cutting mats if you dont already have them

Requirements list

Sewing kit to include rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat (see note above)

assortment of hand stitching threads to supplement those available for use at the studio

100% cotton dress weight fabrics (there are fabrics at the studio for you to use if you don’t have any), if you have some experience of stitching, then any fabrics may be used, small pieces are fine

Hand sewing kit to include small fabric scissors

camera, notebook and pen

Don’t forget your lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits available all day
