Description: 

If you have ever fancied trying your hand at Patchwork, then this day will give you basic skills for you to get started. most of the day will be dedicated to accurate cutting and quick machine piecing techniques … but there will be a chance to do some English piecing by hand as well

Class fees: £50 for the day to include most materials

Student requirements:  The Granary Studio has two bernina 1008 sewing machines availale for pre-booking by students if required… there is a wide selection of fabrics to use, if, as a beginner you have not yet developed a ‘stash’, there are also rotary cutters, quilters rulers and cutting mats if you dont already have them

Requirements list

sewing machine, standard presser foot and manual

Sewing kit to include rotary cutter, ruler and cutting mat (see note above)

Machine thread in medium grey (for sale at the studio)

100% cotton dress weight fabrics (there are fabrics at the studio for you to use if you don’t have any)

Hand sewing kit to include small fabric scissors

camera, notebook and pen

Don’t forget your lunch, tea, coffee and biscuits available all day
