Description: Students will learn how to use a Rotary Cutter and will learn basic techniques including:
– English paper piecing
– Strip piecing
– Foundation piecing
– Machine/hand quilting
Students will also create several small patchwork projects.
Experience level: The course is suitable for both complete beginners and those wishing to develop very basic skills in Patchwork and Quilting by undertaking an introductory course. A knowledge of basic sewing skills and how to use a sewing machine would be an advantage for this course, but not necessary.
Class fees: £150, a deposit of £75 will secure your place, with the balance to be paid when the course begins
Class size: 5 maximum
Dates: This course runs for 10 weeks, 3 Sep – 5 Nov Thurs 14.00-16.00
Resources: Students should bring a notebook and pen for first class.
Basic sewing kit – needle, pins, scissors
Fabric requirements will be discussed at the first class and does not need to be bought in advance.
