Sketchbooks allow you to grow creatively, thinking beyond ‘normal’ and challenging the pushing forward of ideas. On this workshop we will observe closely, looking for and extracting marks to explore and interpret. Through a series of quick timed drawings we will focus on the selection of line and shape, making choices about what to put in and leave out. This will lead towards intuitive placement of elements discovered to create personal sketchbook pages through manipulation; cutting, tearing, extending and folding, cut outs and inserts into a scroll or folded form.
