Description
Mentoring is designed for those that feel ready to work on their own projects, but still wish to have support from Susan. She will help and mentor your chosen projects, and assist you to develop a body of your own work.
Dates, please take careful note
Mentoring dates for 2024/2025, mainly the first Sunday in the month from 10.00am until 4.00pm, as follows
6 Oct, 3 Nov, 1 Dec, 2 Feb, 9 Mar, 6 Apr, 4 May, 8 Jun, 6 July, 10 Aug
Payment
Mentoring fee is £600. You should pay in 3 instalments, firstly £200 as a deposit before the course starts and will secure your place, secondly £200 paid before the February session, and thirdly the final payment of £200 to be paid before the May session.
Information
Mentoring is a year long course where you will choose your own projects with help and mentoring from Susan. She will still sometimes teach new ideas but you can use the time as you wish. If you want anything specifically prepared before the class then please email Susan beforehand so she can get resources, or equipment ready for you. These sessions are not limited to working with dyes, and you do not need to have studied on Susan’s long courses previously. You can dedicate the session to design or stitching if you wish. Or you may still want to use the opportunity to work in a wet space, rather than work at home!
Resources
The studio is well stocked with resources which are available for your use. You should bring your own lunch as there is no shop in the village, but tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day.
For the first session you should bring your ideas, your fabrics and any other resources that might be appropriate to your plans. Always have a notebook and camera(phone) to record your work
