Description
Printmaking is an 8 session year serving a broad based introduction to printmaking mainly accessible to making at home without needing major equipment
Dates, please take careful note
This is a year long class taught over 8 monthly sessions on the third Saturday in the month as follows: 17 October, 14 November, 19 December, 20 February, 20 March, 17 April, 15 May, 19 June
Payment
Printmaking fee is £480 for the 8 sessions
Information
This course is designed to enable students to effectively print their own designs in a variety of ways for different effect. each session will focus on a different technique .. but students are free to combine different techniques as we progress through the year. the sessions are focussed as follows 1. making basic stamps, string, funky foam, eraser 2. monoprinting magic 3. self portraits, using glue gun and stitch. 4. pressprint city 5. collographs 6. intaglio 7. lino printing and reduction lino 8. gelli plate printing
Resources
The studio is well stocked with resources which are available for your use. You should bring your own lunch as there is no shop in the village, but tea, coffee and biscuits are available throughout the day.
Always have a notebook and camera(phone) to record your work.. you may be asked to bring resources for particular sessions.
