Event Description

Melted Pathways: Heat Reactive Textures & Stitch Workshop ..Alysn Midgelow-Marsden is the tutor for this course. For more information about Alysn, please visit her website www.alysnmidgelowmarsden.com

Discover how heat can transform everyday synthetic fabrics into sculptural surfaces. We’ll work with chiffons, Zeelon, Lutradur and other man-made materials, exploring how they shrink, distort and blister under controlled heat. Layer, melt and manipulate your fabrics to create bold textural foundations, then add stitched lines or swirling patterns to build a richly dimensional piece. A playful workshop full of experimentation and surface exploration.
