Class Description

An introduction to dyeing with natural dyes; fabric
preparation, mixing various extracts, post care, extraction from plant
material and discuss common misconceptions of which there are many.
We will start using only 3 colours and by dyeing, overdoing and
modification we will generate a whole range of different samples on
cotton. After this we will experiment with plant extraction and some of the
more common “other “ extracts available on the market. Students will go
away with a whole range of samples which could be assembled a
reference for future use.

A £5 Material fee applies to cover fabric,…dyes, mordants assistants

Payment  the cost of these two days is £180, payable through the website at time of bookiing

Don’t forget your lunch!      N.B. There is no shop in the village
